Allow enough time
Manufacturing lead time, CAD design and choosing different products and colours can all take time. Ask about lead times and work backwards to establish the date by when you need to place an order; if in doubt always ask to avoid disappointment!
Measure your space and furniture
We wouldn’t recommend ordering any furniture until space and furniture requirements have been measured and access routes configured. We provide free space planning advice, including 2D and 3D CAD plans and can help you understand the various furniture shape and size options that are available.
Understand the individual needs of your users
Some people may need extra height to their desk or chair; others may need more space to spread out drawings or layouts. In our experience, the projects that have worked out best are the ones in which end-users have been consulted.
Know what you get for your money
Comparing furniture product can be a difficult process. Ask why one product is more expensive than another - there is often a valid reason for example office chairs that have adjustable backs or seat slide will be dearer than ones that don’t.
Try before you buy
Our showrooms and those of our major suppliers are an excellent way of trying out furniture before committing to a purchase.
We would especially recommend trying out office chairs before you buy them; we have a good selection of chairs in our
showroom or can bring the product to you.
Purchase from a reputable supplier
Always purchase from a reputable source, it will allow you to add the same range and colour product later in time.
A quality supplier will have been in business for a number of years and have built up solid,
reliable manufacturer relationships
Ask to see examples of previous work
By reviewing work carried out for other clients you will pick up style and design ideas, as well as thoughts on desk shapes,
colours and accessories.
